How does our VoIP system work?

With the Standard local telephone service from Douglas Telecom, you can take advantage of unlimited calls within your local service area for only $15.00 a month. Our Standard plan is ideal for families and individuals who make a lot of local calls each month and have moderate long distance and/or international usage. In addition to our great local service, standard plan subscribers can use our competitive long-distance and international rates to keep in touch with family and friends around United States and around the world. Advanced call processing and outgoing caller ID features are optional add-ons to our local service.

Our Standard Plan includes these popular features:

Call LogThe call log keeps track of all calls made to and from your account.	VoicemailOur voicemail system allows you to retrieve messages either over the phone or through the web. Voicemail message alerts may also be sent to your email address.
Numerical Caller IDIf your telephone supports caller ID, this feature will show you the caller's telephone number on the telephone set's caller ID display.	Do Not DisturbYou can set your account to automatically forward all calls received during specified time periods to your voicemail, without ringing through on your telephone set.
Speed DialCreate numerical short cuts for the numbers that you call the most.	3-Way Conference CallWith this feature you can conference a third party into a telephone call in progress. There is a charge of $0.35 per minute of use.
Call ForwardingForwards all calls to a different telephone number, specified by you. Long distance charges may apply to calls forwarded to a telephone number outside of your service area.	Call WaitingIf you are on the phone, the call waiting tone alerts you that another caller is trying to reach you.
Call RejectionWith this feature you may reject calls from certain telephone numbers, specified through your account interface.	911 ServiceDouglas Telecom provides 911 service for your primary registered service address. For more information, please see the sign-up page(s).
Directory AssistanceAccess nation-wide directory assistance services. A charge of $1.00 applies for each use of directory assistance.	Fax SupportOur digital telephone service supports the transmissions of faxes.

No contract or activation fee is necessary to use DTI's service and there are no restrictions on the time or the day you choose to make your calls. There are no additional fees except for mandated local taxes and federal USF.
