Call ring groups are a useful and versatile feature included for free with our hosted PBX and business telephone services, which can be used to set-up customized ringing patterns based on time of day, day of week, number dialed or selected auto-attendant option. Our call ring groups are much more than your standard trunk-hunting, allowing you a host of multi-line ringing patterns and destinations (such as outside numbers). One of the most useful features of the call ring groups is the ability to set up a ringing table that sends calls to different ring group members (that is, phones), depending on what time of day or day of the week it is. Additionally, the ringing patterns may be staggered or simultaneous, allowing you to prioritize who answers calls first. If a call is not answered in a pre-set amount of time, chosen by you, it can sent to a voicemail box of your choice. Call ring groups are a good option if you usually have moderate call volumes with very little wait time before calls are answered. If you have high call volumes that necessitate longer hold times or your call volume often spikes, a better option might be our Call Holding Queues.
