FlexyTrack is a web-based platform that enables users to manage all aspects of their business online, with full integration with their telecommunication and other communication tools. Development HistoryDouglas Telecom was founded in 1998 with the objective of providing domestic and international long distance services. In 1999 the company began developing a proprietary operating system aimed at eliminating the inefficiencies of Microsoft Windows when processing real-time data. This proprietary operating system became the backbone of our call processing servers in the following years. Further development resulted in a series of advantages compared to other systems, most importantly speed. The system’s speed allows small, inexpensive servers to process hundreds of simultaneous phone calls, while keeping statistics and performing other integrated functions. Furthermore, the unique mature of the design allows for rapid development and customization. Douglas Telecom utilized this ability to create a number of new custom call-processing features. |

The design capabilities led to the deployment in 2003 of a hosted PBX telephone system and a short time later the web-based application development platform we call FlexyTrack, which integrates business administration functions with other communication tools. FlexyTrack uses Adobe Flash, a commonly used web application, as a Graphic User Interface (GUI) providing intuitive, graphically appealing and user friendly functions and commands. Some of the first applications built using the FlexyTrack platform were CRM (Customer Relation Management) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) modules. These application enable users to manage many, if not all, aspects of their business functions online and in real time, including customer profiles and management, file management, inventory management, price list and costing management, shipping tools (including interfaces with bar code scanners, scales, box tracking, package tracking, etc.), online shopping cart management, human resource tools for employee management, employee time / task management and Calendar and Scheduling Tools. All FlexyTrack services are connected via a real-time database, including telecommunications.Douglas Telecom’s Hosted PBX is fully integrated with the business functions of FlexyTrack. Calls can be logged, annotated and attached to various documents and profiles within FlexyTrack. Call logs or even call recordings can be attached to a customer profile and referenced to tasks, documents, scheduled meetings, etc. Furthermore, all functions and data are securely accessible from any computer with an Internet connection and Internet Explorer. When combined with Douglas Telecom Hosted PBX, FlexyTrack’s real-time database and GUI together become a true UNIFIED COMMUNICATIONS SOLUTION, seamlessly blending all aspects of business operations into one, easy, transparent system. FlexyDeskThe current version of FlexyTrack further capitalizes on the power of the CRM, ERP and hosted PBX applications, delivering it on a new streamlined interface called ‘FlexyDesk’. FlexyDesk is a modular interface which allows users to add new tools incrementally. Users can start with the voicemail, conference call and task management tools, but later add a CRM or ERP applications and retroactively integrate them with the other applications. FlexyDesk opens the doors for further applications to incorporate word processing, spread sheets, email clients, file sharing tools, IM tools and other common applications typically installed on a business machine. FlexyTrack's innovative design allows for quicker application development, up to 20-30 times faster than with traditional systems. Consequently, new custom applications can be designed economically, giving even small businesses access to the same level of customization that only the largest firms have previously been able to afford.
