One voicemail box comes standard with
each local telephone number or toll free telephone number and
includes one hour of voicemail storage space. If your recorded
voicemails exceed one hour, the oldest messages are
overwritten by the newer messages. A standard feature with all
voicemail boxes is the ability to create a user-definable
menu of actions when a caller reaches your voicemail. Possible
actions include transferring the call, leaving a message,
terminating the call or replaying the greeting – you can even enable a default
action to be taken if the caller does not make a choice within a set
amount of time.
Your online DTI account allows you to
choose from several ways to receive notification of new
voicemail messages, including via email or with a special
indicator tone when you pick up the phone. Your voicemail box
can even ring your telephone at set intervals if you have a new message
waiting! All of these options are user-definable and can be
changed at any time in your account interface. Messages can be either downloaded
from your online account to your
PC at your convenience, or played back through the phone line.
Additional voicemail storage for your
voicemail box can be purchased in one hour increments for
$1.00 per hour per month. Additional voicemail boxes can be
added to your account for $1.00 per voicemail box; each
additional voicemail box includes one hour of storage space
with the option of adding more memory for $1.00 per extra hour
per month.
