For active DTI
Local Calling Plan and DTI Toll
Free Plan users, several specialty advanced
services are included.
-
Directory Listing: Unlike
most major telecommunications companies, we do not make you
pay to have an unlisted phone number. However, if you
wish to have your DTI number listed with your local
directories, you may request this service for $1/month plus
$10 setup fee. Additional updates are just $5 per
request.
-
Wake-up Calls: Record your
own wake-up call and program your DTI device to call you when
requested. This service is provided at no additional
charge. Standard long-distance rates apply when
appropriate.
-
Speed-Dial: Speed-dial
settings can be programmed simply using special online call
forwarding features, and can be based on the source or
destination of a call.

Additional stations cost $2.50 each per month,
with a one-time $5 station setup fee per station. All calls
placed using additional stations are billed using our standard
low per minute rates, and no more. With the activation of one additional
station per feature, the following features can be enabled:
-
Voicemail
Box Menu Extensions: Offer extension options for your
callers. For instance, if they press "1", they
may leave a message for Joe; if they press "2",
they may leave a message for Lisa..., etc.
-
DTI
PBX Telephone System: A "PBX" is technically a private telephone switchboard that provides
on-site dial service and connections to local communications networks.
Many businesses use PBX Systems to transfer calls from one
line to another or enable an intercom of sorts.
DTI's PBX Systems not only enable these additional
features, but save you a bundle while doing so!
-
Conference
Calling: You can choose between two conference calling
modes. With the first mode, any second (or third or fourth
and so on, depending on how many stations you have) caller
automatically joins the conversation you already have in
progress. With the second mode, you can filter which
numbers may join a call in progress. You can enable and
switch between the two modes at will, simply by accessing
your account online.
-
Call
Rejection: If you do not want to receive calls from
certain numbers, you can enter those numbers into your
account information online. Calls from those specific
numbers will receive a busy signal when trying to call
your number.
-
Multi-Line
Ringing/Forwarding: You can assign your DTI-issued phone
number to ring on several lines at once. For example, you
can have calls ring on both your IP phone at home and your
cell number. When one line is answered, the call ceases
ringing on all lines. The number of lines possible are
only limited by the number of stations activated on your
account.
-
Call
Recording: Calls can be recorded for quality assurance,
training, or other purposes. Please remember to
follow all legal requirements with regard to this
action. Douglas Telecom will not be held liable for
any legal infractions due to call recording.
-
Conference
Room*: Users with one or more active voicemail accounts
can create a password-protected virtual "conference
room" voicemail extension, enabling any number of
persons who call the extension to speak together, no
matter their physical location. For instance, if the
President of your company is currently in London, but
needs to have an important business meeting with the board
in San Diego, each board member will call the conference
room extension at the same time, enter the password, and
instantly share virtual space.
*Because of the
complex high-tech nature of this feature, two stations
must be purchased to enable usage ($5/month, $10 one-time
setup fee).
No
contract is necessary to use DTI's service and there are no
restrictions on the time or the day you choose to make your
calls. For sign-up information, please click here. |
