"Adaptive Capacity" is a term adopted from eco- and social science. In those fields, it refers to the ability of an organism or system to adapt to a changing environment. With our service, adaptive capacity refers to the ability of the telephone system to flexibly adapt to the call activity on your account. With our telephone service and its advanced features, we have taken the capacity versus cost question out of the equation. With our telephone service's adaptive capacity you no longer need to juggle capacity and cost and simply hope to achieve the right balance.
Here is how it works: |

The advantages of this might best be explained by comparison. With a traditional telephone service and traditional PBX telephone system, there is an upper limit to how many calls you can make and receive simultaneously. If all the telephone lines from the telephone service provider are in use, nobody can place any additional calls out from inside your office AND any callers to your number(s) would receive a busy signal because you have no more capacity available to receive them. Your capacity is fixed by the capabilities of the hardware PBX call routing equipment that you have on-site and fixed by the number telephone lines to which you subscribe. Hence, there was always the question of how many telephone lines to subscribe to (and contract and pay for), in order to provide adequate capacity for your employees to call out and your customers to call in.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about adaptive capacity and how it can help you. We look forward to hearing from you! |
